Understanding the Listings
Gray vs Black? Some listings appear in gray text. This is an intended difference. Gray events are not quite as important as black events. Gray events may be unconfirmed, cross-references or cancelled.
Unconfirmed: A “confirmed” event has in some way been confirmed. We don’t demand a lot for confirmation, but some sort of communication that says to us "yes, that event is taking place on that date!” This is strionger than “Well, there usually are (or used to be) events on that day.”
Cross reference: When a series moves temporarily (perhapsd their regular hall is closed), there is a cross refernce, helping find the actual listing for the day.”
Cancelled: A “cancelled event” appears in places where a dancer might reasonably expect a dance — but there is none. e.g. no dance on a holiday, summer vacation or there conflict". These listings are “lined-out”
The Map: Although the events are listed by date, the map above can be used to identify events by location. When you point at the push pin, the event name appears. Click on the pin and the window will scroll to the speciifc event
